CMA CGM - EMERGENCY RATE RESTORATION ON THE ASIA TO NORTH AFRICA EFFECTIVE MAY 1ST 2012

Dear Customers,
Please note CMA CGM has decided to implement an Emergency Rate restoration (E.R.R.) at Usd 385/teu as from May 1st 2012 on the trade Asia/North Africa.
The E.R.R. of usd 385 / teu is combined with the increase of the Interim Fuel Surcharge of usd 15/ teu in May
TOTAL usd 400 / teu from 01/05/2012
Origin Range: from All Asian ports (including Japan, South East Asia)
Scope : to all north africa ports.
Cargo: Dry cargo, OOG's, Paying empties, Break-bulk and Reefer cargo.
Date of application: 1st MAY 2012 (bl date)

DANGEROUS CARGO PROCEDURE
Dear Customers,
We receive more and more bookings for dangerous goods
But for all bookings with dangerous cargo, a delay of 48 H. is required to obtain green light from BMD (Bureau Marchandises Dangereuses) ,.
As you know, offices in Algeria are closed on Friday /Saturday /Sunday ,
From Thursday, it?s impossible to join forwarders ,receivers and agents at destination
It?s why, all bookings must be send to Cma Cgm Agency ( BMD) at the latest on Wednesday afternoon
(for all containers to be loaded on the same week)
This delay will allow to BMD to treat all the requests and to obtain Written Commitment
Remind you this written commitment is compulsory for all Algerian ports. It is required again upon every booking receipt must be provided to Local Port Authorities and Customs Office
Dangerous Cargo are accepted to
ALGIERS ALTERCO / ROUIBA ? Dry docks -
ORAN ? MOSTAGANEM ? Only on Ro/Ro Vessel / Direct Delivery
GHAZAOUET ) Direct Delivery
BEJAIA ) Direct Delivery
SKIKDA ) Direct Delivery
ANNABA ) Direct Delivery
We try to do the best to answer as fast as possible, but this deadline is inevitable
